Good news if you’ve had the misfortune to try calling my mobile phone over the past few months. My trusty Nokia 3310 (which I have had ever since the aerial broke off my first ever mobile phone, a chunky Alcatel One Touch Max DB) seems to have finally given up the ghost. A sleek, new Nokia 6300 is winging its way to my door, which should be able to make it all the way through a phonecall without turning itself off. Included seems to be a digital camera, so at least I stand more chance at recording some of the ridiculous sights I see on my infrequent visits into the real world.

Other birthday treats (for it is that day in the calendar year) include Hendricks’ Gin, Radiohead and Duke Special. Last night I went to see the Mighty, Mighty Potters and had a curry pie for the first time ever. I also drank far too much Everards Tiger. So much for a healthy January.

Did the curry pie force you to produce more “Jurovski’s” than normal?

I think any effects a curry pie may have had would have been rather secondary to the amount of bitter consumed. Presumably our reader has had difficulty with the substandard pies produced in such backwaters as Wigan.

When you had your “Jurovski” did it remove the broken phone aerial?

    Don’t be silly. The < HREF="http://www.gsmarena.com/alcatel_ot_max_db-27.php" REL="nofollow">Alcatel One Touch Max DB<> didn’t have a vibrate function.
